SOMA SEMEION SYLLOGO, 1996
Kunstverein Köln KVRR, 1996
The performative photo installation Soma Semeion Syllogo invited participants to take photograms of personal objects or of themselves during the exhibition in a specially prepared dark room in the Kunstverein rechtsrheinisch gallery. The gallery’s location within a social service center was integral to the concept of the project. After three weeks, a collection of these photograms was assembled, revealing a kind of portrait of life at the center. At the closing reception of the exhibition, the original works were given to their authors as a gift for their participation. The project remains only in the form of documentation.
