In this close-circuit video installation, toilet users can watch themselves while using the toilet on a screen in their own toilet cubicle. In contrast to the work series ‘For your own Safety these facilities are being monitored by CCTV’, which simulates the impression of live broadcasts from the toilet rooms into the exhibition rooms, this installation is not only giving an impression: the toilet user is indeed watching live-recorded material, however he or she remains in the privacy of his/her own videographic self-observation.
